The Bayfield Marshal's Office is staffed by eight Deputies including the Marshal, a School Resource Officer, a deputy with the South West Drug Task Force Team & an administrative assistant. 

We provide 24/7 law enforcement, code enforcement & animal control services to its 2,600 residents.  We also assist other agencies in the area in providing law enforcement services to the 7,700 residents in the greater Bayfield Community.

 VIN verifications

We provide VIN verifications as a deputy is available.  The fee for VIN verifications is $20.00 dollars per vehicle. 


02. Fingerprinting 

As of September 24, 2018 we will no longer be providing fingerprinting services. See below flyers for CBI's fingerprinting locations.

03. Extra Premise Checks 

Residents or business owners can request extra checks if they intend to be gone for an extended period of time, safety concerns or suspicious incidents.  A form can be picked up at the Marshal's Office for your premise to be placed on our check list.

04. Office Hours

Our front office is now open from 8:00am to 12:30pm & 1:30pm to 5:00pm.  We do not make appointments for VIN verifications or fingerprinting due to calls for service taking priority. If you have an emergency dial 911, otherwise if you need to speak with a deputy after hours please contact our central dispatch at (970)385-2900.
