The Regional Vice President's Award was given in recognition of operations perfomed by the South West Drug Task Force. The South West Drug Task Force is comprised of investigators from several law enforcement agencies in the area including an investigator from the Bayfield Marshal's Office. These undercover operations were successful in seizing hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash, firearms, property and illegal drugs.

The Bayfield Marshal's Office received this letter from the State of Colorado House of Representatives recognizing our achievement in being awarded the Attorney General's Law Enforcement Agency of Excellence award.

Each year the Attorney General recognizes a law enforcement agency that has exhibited excellence, innovation and leadership in it's approach to crime prevention, investigative work and community outreach and training. The Bayfield Marshal's Office is very honored to be the first law enforcement agency in La Plata County to receive this very prestigious award.  The Bayfield Marshal's Office was presented the 2017 Attorney General’s Law Enforcement Agency of Excellence award by Attorney General Cynthia Coffman herself at our 2018 Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner.
